A recently divorced single mother named Sydney is back and looking for a fresh start in her hometown of Hopewell, North Carolina. While there, she mets a single father named Kevin MacAlea, who's also looking for something different in his life.

During the movie, author Nancy Naigle was featured as one of the authors from the bookstore scene, she wrote the book "Christmas Joy" which was eventually made into a Hallmark movie back in 2018. Actress Malia Baker made her professional film debut during this movie.
